Maybe try to desaturate the colors and make it less transparent?

Also, you can maybe match the line size of the text’s UIStroke with the parent’s or use the UIStroke as a shadow by setting it to 1 pixels with around 0.5 transparency.

Some padding to the text is nice too (i would recommend 5px for each padding). You can do this by adding a UIPadding on the TextLabel.

Also, I would suggest offsetting them by around 5px to the right to prevent the UIStroke from clipping and match the style a bit better.

  • brighter background color
  • pattern image even if subtle
  • an inner stroke to make the button feel popped out
  • either make text white so easier to read or contrast colors by removing stroke from text and making very dark text color based on background color

theres many more improvements to making buttons look more appealing but me lazy

you could reference from already existing games, for example, a good example is from Anime Vanguards menu button ui, look at how well and polished other games have done so you get ideas/references

i think one of the best ways todo menu buttons are just using icons

you could also add some ui gradient even if they are really subtle.

I had a gradient before but it just made it look bad

Mostly what everyone else is saying. Desaturate the colors, increase the opacity, add UIPadding. Patterns and/or icons could improve this too.

I would also change the font and lower the text stroke, but I think that’s just personal preference, so that’s not as important.
