yeah that looks like clean code. Im not sure what the guy was doing in a client script, theres a reason u cant use DataStores in client scripts.

I got and idea for you, try to test that guy to show on stream how is making these things. If I would be on your place I would do that hah, there is no chance that he could do that and there could be good satisfaction to reveal his truth
