What do you think of my build?

I was currently working on Blender. I am trying to get used to the basics by building simple trees and terrain. Soon I will be working on buildings, cities, etc. I was wondering how my first terrain build using Blender is. I wish to see how everyone’s opinions are on my build. If you want to take a closer look I’ll link the game below.

Since your more of a beginner or just starting off well done on the overall shape and elevation to create that more realistic approach with keeping the cartoony look your wanting.

I’d recommend adding different formation into the hills acting as terrain, perhaps more props have different height of trees, with an angle of branches sizes and proportion looking at images is another way to improve your skills try to your own abilities to improve it. Place more scenery in general area. Massive trees shorter trees to make it less repetitive.

I also recommend reducing the amount of trees. Right now, they look almost identical, but it should be different from others. There are countless ways to improve your build that will make it more realistic, cartoony or whatever approach you’re going for. : slight_smile:

Yeah i think you need more variation in the trees, so maybe make a tree model B and model C. -Or make it so that they are modular and you can swap out or add branches in studio to quickly give greater variation.

I’ve been currently working on a more advanced style of tree’s and terrain. This is what my first blender terrain looks like. I’ve made Palm Tree’s, and more longer made pines. I’ll also be created a very high detailed pine tree that has more texture on the Pine tree.
