What happened to the spherical handles in the Rotation tool?

Hello. I could not find a more suitable tag to used so please forgive me if I am doing something wrong.

I was wondering what happened to the spherical handles in the Rotate tool? They are still present when animating a rig but not when rotating an object. In my opinion, they seemed like a cool feature and may someone tell me if you can get them back?

This was recently answered in another post, but I can’t find it.

The spherical handles were removed recently, so you can’t use them anymore unless someone make some kind of plugin or toon to help you do so
