I am trying to make my newly published game available to all age groups, specifically players under 16 years old.
My account meets all the required account status checks (ID verification, 2FA, age estimation…) and the game content rating is set to All Ages/Minimal, the game is currently restricted to players aged 16+. In the Creator Dashboard, the “Highly Engaged Players” requirement shows that I need 500 authentic player sessions to qualify for Roblox Kids & Select distribution and btw, i’m a small developer and i don’t want to take the risk to pay 100k robux (even if i could get them back)
Another important information is that my game is designed specifically for younger audiences (under 16) and relies heavily on multiplayer interaction (it is meant to be played in groups of at least 6 players) so the game requires a larger group of players together, but when running ads, players join one by one (a “drip feed” effect) and leave because they don’t find enough active players in the server at the same time.
More specifically, I tested the new Engagement goal feature (currently in Beta) and i’m currently running a campaign with 10 Ad Credits over 2 days. For now, the ad status is still “learning” and results are VERY disappointing… (CTR 2.36%, 13k impressions, i got around 200 plays for now, but i don’t know how many of them will count as “Highly Engaged Players”)
The question now is: what should i do? Should i run another campaign? If yes how many ad credits should i realistically invest and what goal should i use (more plays or more engaed players)? And for how much time?
And what about after reaching the 500 Highly Engaged Players theshold? What is the best approach for scaling up? Should I switch entirely to the Plays goal? with how many ad credits and for how much time to give the algorithm enough data to start recommending the game?
Every advice is fully appreciated!!
