Heyo I’ve recreated basically the base of a game called Tweleve Minutes because I thought the game was cool and I wanted something to do and now I kind of wanna turn this into a finished game however I don’t know what kind of game I want it to be the original game is a story game with a bunch of dialogue and stuff and well I don’t know how or want to make a 5 hour long story game lol so I was thinking about making this into a puzzle game or murder mystery, but not sure so looking for some ideas.
Make it a single player round based murder mystery puzzle game, where every twelve minutes the murderer kills someone but you can time travel up to 24 minutes back to try to find clues. But! There’s a catch, you can only stay back in time for one minute and you can not get caught. Also, the murderer learns from what you do and covers up that type of evidence the next time they kill. Your job it to find out who the murderer is before everyone is dead.
Love this idea a lot. Not sure if you code as well, but for the 24minutes I’m assuming what I can do for this is have a for loop which just goes down from 1440 to 0 and then I just save a copy of the current house in server storage OR this might be more advanced, but I could keep track of every action that is made by the player or npc and then also save like a tick() or os.clock for it and then this might allow me to make it so the player can choose to go back 5min instead of 24min and then I can just get every action that was made within 5min and like undo it The only tricky thing I feel like would be making the murderer AI
Well I don’t script so that whole part of your message sounded like gibberish to me. I agree, the murder ai would probably be really hard but I was thinking you could do it like the neighbor in hello neighbor and you should change anything that’s too hard for you to make.
