What levels/maps should I add to my game?

Hey! I’m working on Cleanup Crew 2, a sequel to a game I made (solo, i use an alt account for the forums) last year that gained 10 million visits in a couple months.

The game is a comedy physics game about hiding corpses around various maps before your time runs out and your round is evaluated based on time and how many bodies you hid. Players also love that you can use modifiers to customize your rounds, like lower the gravity or make everything slippery.

In the first Cleanup Crew, many players asked for a story mode to play levels in order. I thought this was a great idea, because I’m always open to exploring new features and I really wanted to make a story game someday. With the success of CC1, I said “Why not put story mode in Cleanup Crew 2?” so I am!

Story Mode puts you as an employee at Decent Cleanup & Company in the present day, an old business centered around cleaning up crime scenes for all clients, guaranteed fast and stress-free. The company is now run by Elliot, a teen CEO who’s father recently retired from the position. Elliot has NO idea how to handle things here, but she tries her best to teach the player what to do.

The player goes through levels/maps (the first two are the Tutorial (Elliot’s office) and a retro diner.)
hiding different amounts of corpses for different clients, with different threats and mechanics in each one. There is more to the story, but I won’t spoil all of it, since the rest isn’t important for the topic.

Cleanup Crew 2 will feature revamps of beloved maps in Cleanup Crew, but still have some unique ones. I need help figuring out what levels/maps I can create, as well as their threats and mechanics, like ghosts that sabotage your work or acid baths that reduce corpses to bone.

Thanks for your help! Your feedback is INCREDIBLY important and will influence a game that millions of players love.

Some good maps would be a office, or a barbeque. One map that I think would be very interesting would be a forest map where you can bury bodies (but leave a hand sticking out that the player has to cover) or hide them in the foliage. I tried the game, honestly it is very fun! The forest and barbeque could be combined, given that a barbeque (in my opinion) would fit in with the playful theme of your game.

Happy gaming!

First off I never played the original so my ideas may not mesh well I have no idea, but from what you have described here I have a couple ideas that may be what you are looking for:

I think a map where there are hazards that require the player to stand still for a period of time could be interesting, and going off the common idea that the T-Rex could only see movement, a Jurassic style map with that or other dinosaurs would be cool.

A map that at first seems very small (Like a bathroom) that requires the player to do some searching to over time to discover that there are tons of hidden secrets around the room, maybe hidden attached rooms, with hidden switches to find things or maybe puzzles if it would make sense.

A cleanup somewhere that is really busy (Think like a busy street) that requires the player to navigate around speeding cars, or this could take place somewhere like a factory with those robotic arms, that the player similarly has to avoid during gameplay.

An underwater cleaning that may or may not have any dangers, there could be multiple maps with swimming if you want to add other things, underwater maps would open up things like coral reefs, the titanic, and trenches, for possible maps.

This would depend on what movement in the game would look like but if theres a sprint, jump, maybe crouch then a parkour course could be a fun map with a lot of raised platforms, grab handles, places you need to slide through.

Thinking about maps without such direct different mechanics:
Moving train, plane, cruise ship.
Camper van
Ikea
Store with a lot of breakable objects, like a pottery store
Toy store, can either be fantastical or more realistic I think both are interesting
Paintball / laser tag course
Junkyard
Asian market
ISS (Space station)

Last a couple less realistic ideas that are a bit more vague or wouldnt make a ton of sense:
Collapsing building
Alien spaceship
Inside active volcano

Hope something here helped :folded_hands:

these are great ideas! im definitely adding a moving vehicle map, and i already planned on making a box factory map with claws and conveyor belts. i like the bathroom idea aswell!

Wow! I recently played this game and could not imagine that you are one of its developers! Nice to meet you!
I suggest adding a map of an art gallery where you can hide bodies behind paintings.

There will also be visitors. Player need to be careful of them.

Genuinely thought of a cruise ship before reading the ideas above mine. Sucks. This guy basically listed all of the maps I would suggest aside from the controversial ones. Maybe an island?

Hello again! I have a new idea. How about a movie theater where you can hide bodies under chairs? It will be dark there, and therefore the player will walk slowly.
