I’m trying to figure out a good process for building, I see people say that they build in blender, but for instance, a house, building a home in blender can be quite tricky in my experience, even though I’ve used blender for quite some time now and have learned a lot and can do a lot, I still find building in blender hard with the way you have to move the camera and the fact it isn’t studio; on the other hand, I see people build in ROBLOX studio as well, though I’ve tried, blender gets you more complex designs, and it also from what I’ve learned can help reduce lag by keeping bigger things as meshes vs parts/unions, this whole explanation is where my confusion comes from and I truly need to hear others’ building processes.
The general rule I follow is this:
Studio for simple shapes
Blender for complex shapes
Ngl, I just use studio at first to make both simple and complex parts and then I go use blender. If an object is way too complex then I resolve to using blender at first.
This way just gets me a better idea on how stuff may look.
Like others said, if you’re just going to create simple shapes, then just build in studio; otherwise, go for Blender or the equivalent. Using unions/negates to create complex shapes don’t typically do as well compared to Blender as you can get unexpected results and/or unnecessary faces.
If you’re concerned with performance and want to reduce unnecessary faces, go for Blender or of the like.
