I’m currently developing my own game (all by my self) called ‘Snipers VS Runners’
Basically, 1 player becomes the sniper, while the rest spawn in as runners. The sniper’s goal is to eliminate all runners before they reach the finish line. The runners, of course, must avoid being shot and try to survive until they reach the end.
I know this isn’t a brand new concept, but this is the first game I made where I really had to use scripting. (My previous games were mostly obbies or older-style tycoons.)
I tried to give this game a bit of a unique twist:
- The overall style is inspired by classic, old-school Roblox. Most games today go for cartoony UIs and super-saturated effects—I deliberately chose not to.
- There’s a special FFA round every 5 games where all players fight each other in a free-for-all arena. I haven’t seen this in similar games, so I think this makes my game stand out.
That said… I feel like I’ve hit a roadblock
The game feels like it’s missing something. I can’t fully put my finger on it, but it doesn’t feel complete yet. That’s why I’d love to hear some honest feedback from you all.
- Would you play this game? Why or why not?
- What features or content would make it more fun or replayable?
- Are there any obvious things that are missing or could be improved?
- How does the old-school style come across? Is it nostalgic or just outdated?
- Does the FFA round idea work, or does it feel out of place?
I’m open to adding new mechanics, systems (I already have XP, levels, daily rewards, and challenges), game modes, or quality-of-life improvements. I just want to make sure I’m building something fun and engaging long-term.
Any feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance!
