I’m referring to weapons like swords, axes and hammers mostly, not guns.
so I have this placeholder Idle anim for a “lightweight” sword
now, my question is, since there’s a difference between light and heavy weapons, which and how should their animations be?
for example, should a player keep a lightweight sword on their shoulder when they walk? Or should they move it to the side?
Long story short, what should sword/axes look like when idling vs walking? Any reference images or tips?
I would say lightweight weapons would be kept on the shoulder or smthn (i’m just guessing based on my current experience with games with melee weapons so I might be wrong), heavy weapons dragged behind the character and axes held in both hands or smthn like dat.
