What's the best app to make logos?

Hey Developers!

I am an intermediate builder, and I recently just joined DevForum hoping to learn new skills in order to grow within the community. I decided that a great place to start would be either scripting or creating graphics. However; due to being more interested in graphics I decided to start learning on how to create logos(Backgrounds, cool fonts etc.)

However, I have an issue. I currently use paint.net, though I’m not so happy with its results (due to not fully understanding how to use it as well of course). If you’d know a better app I could use to make more professional graphics or how to use paint.net please let me know.

I know a few people that have done logo designing/are doing logo designing, I from the feedback on the logo designing softwares that I got, here are a few that I would suggest using over paint.net.

Personally, I think that those are some of the best softwares for logo designing.

I have used both PDN and Photoshop. PDN offers plugins that help me create my logos and GFXs. Photoshop is more of an editing tool. There are multiple packs created by users of Photoshop, if you would like to take that route. They are great and helpful, but many of the packs are over 500mb, so I would watch what you download.
There are many YouTube tutorials on this type of stuff and you can Google search for help. I started off doing GFX and this helped me with my 2D logos. For your first few, I would suggest looking up clip art and then drawing it yourself. This will help you not only get the hang of PDN, but also improve your skill and find new ways to do cartoony art.
For GFX, I would suggest Blender and PDN. As stated earlier, Photoshop has never come easy to me as PDN has. This may be because I have been using PDN since I was in grade school. I would also suggest learning how to rig. You can find a tutorial here. This person is a great YouTuber and explains everything you need to know about rigs. Rigs are great for renders and posing.
Fonts and backgrounds. I have never actually been the type for drawing. Anyone that can earns my respect. In this case, I cannot help you with backgrounds and fonts. All I can tell you is mess around with the drawing and lines tool until you have created a unique font to your likings.
Hope this helped!
Sincerely,

I will probably say the same as others have already written.
I recommend photosop and blender and you can really create a great logo.
If you don’t have a photosop, I recommend this program for free graphics: https: //www.gimp.org/

I suggest Adobe Illustrator. Create vector program for designing professional quality logos in limitless scale. Most of the stuff in my portfolio I make w/ adobe illustrator. SubMDuck - Hobbyist, Digital Artist | DeviantArt
Great for creating Fonts, Icons, and UI.

These graphics look great! However, I’m looking for something more logo-like (icons and stuff), to start somewhere low. As for Adob Photoshop, I will consider purchasing it, thank you!

Thank you for your suggestions, I will look into it and consider them.

Thank you a lot for this suggestion! I will consider checking PDN out. As for Blender, for some reason it won’t work. I’ve been getting “your graphics card is too old” messages. Even though if my NVIDIA card is up-too-date. (This was after my INTEL card corrupted my PC and deleted both cards before installing them again - furthermore INTEL is still broken).
