What's the best terrain type to use for an experience?

I’ve been working on an experience lately, and I’ve reached the point in which I need to begin terrain works. I haven’t worked with terrain a lot in the past, so I am not sure what is the best options to pursuit.

Do I go for Roblox’s Terrain?
Low poly terrain using parts?

What is the best terrain option, and preferably the most optimized for performance one?

My experience is a real-world simulation, but I do not care what terrain is most realistic/fitting for my experience, instead which is the best performance and use wise.

Smooth terrain is less laggy. It’s a bit more of a challenge to create a nice landscape using it but in terms of performance and lag i would use the roblox terrain.

I am kinda glad roblox terrain is the more performance-optimized option, since it’s the most versitile, customizable and realistic after all.

I’ll leave this open for a bit for any other suggestions, but thanks for letting me know! :heart_hands:
