Its used so a terrain material can use different textures for the sides and bottom of the terrain.
Take grass for example; grass only grows on dirt surfaces that face upward. If the surface is facing horisontally or downward, grass shouldn’t appear, which is where these texture details come in to play. You can use a dirt texture for the sides and underside of the material so it look more natural.
But why have a separate tabs for both can’t the be put in to one?
idk are they used for seperate things or no?
