What's the point of unlisting when it doesn't unlist?

I saw a couple of posts on the forum that were locked AND unlisted by admins. However, what’s the point of unlists when it still appears in searches and even in the category post list?
Example:
[post title and content censored to abide by the rules, some parts kept for reference]

1. This post was locked and unlisted, by a Roblox Administrator.
   
   
   
   1.1 Notice of unlisting of the post.
   
   
2. The post still appears in the list.
   
   
3. The post appears in searches.

The topic is not shown in the latest or the new tab. Its meant to stop or try to prevent more people from viewing it by ripping it right out of those two most commonly used pages on the Forum.

Unlisted topics should never be shown unless you have the direct link. You should include repro steps if you think this is a bug.

An example that I can provide is however in a restricted category, I cannot post that here.

You can blur out the title and content.

I think the point of unlisting is not to prevent it from being searched at all but to prevent it from being seen in the topic list. Hence unlist.
