When my chat contains an emoji there is a 50/50 change it gets delivered

Recently when in experience, I’ve noticed that there’s a chance when I send a chat, I get the message saying “Your message could not be sent.” I’ve also noticed that these only happen when my chat includes an emoji. These messages are linked to random emojis, but refresh when I join a different game (a, b, and c could be bad in one server and x, y, and z in another) These restrictions also don’t apply to other players. This also isn’t linked the frequency of sending.

These messages are also included in the reporting menu so I’m not sure if they’re there or not

Edit: I’ve read other reports about this and it may not be related to emojis

Expected behavior

If my chats were rule breaking, I’d expect a “nudge” at the top of my screen or to just get kicked. This ominous message serves no reasons as to why my chat couldn’t be delivered

This seems very similar to this:

Are you sure it’s just emojis?

Here’s a video with additional information. When I copy and paste an emoji from the emoji keyboard on computer (Windows + .), it works 100% of the itme, and I noticed it says it cannot be sent, but it still shows the message.

Hello everyone, thank you all for your patience. We recently made a change to TextChannel:SendAsync to only deliver messages recently typed and sent by the player and that is likely the cause of this issue.

We have temporarily rolled back the update to SendAsync to investigate this bug with sending emojis, with the plan of rolling it out again once this issue is fixed.

Hey! I appreciate you rolling it back but I’m just curious, what was this meant to solve?
