To the Developer Community and Roblox Staff,
I want to lay out this case in full, because I think the timeline itself says more than any single complaint could. This isn’t a quick frustration post — it’s close to six months of a process that was designed to have clear deadlines, none of which have been honored.
How this started
My account was terminated on March 28, 2026, following a DMCA takedown claim against my original UGC asset, Dominus Draconis:
For the first two months after termination, I filed dozens of standard support tickets trying to understand what had happened and how to contest it. Every single one came back with the same automated response — a generic “under review” status, with no human ever engaging with the actual case.
The counter-notice, and the deadline that passed
Once it became clear support tickets alone weren’t going anywhere, I filed a formal DMCA counter-notice on May 27, 2026 (Ticket #170888474), and opened direct contact with the counter-notice agent the following day, May 28.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(2)(C), once a valid counter-notice is filed, a service provider is required to restore the disputed material within 10 to 14 business days — unless the original claimant files a federal lawsuit and formally notifies the platform within that window. That’s not a guideline; it’s the statutory mechanism the entire counter-notice process is built on.
That window closed months ago. It has now been nearly four calendar months of continuous follow-up, every single reply automated, every one saying the case is “still under review,” with no human response at any point and no confirmation that any lawsuit was ever filed.
Trying to file again, and hitting a wall
Given the lack of movement, I attempted to file a renewed counter-notice to make sure nothing had been lost or mishandled. Every attempt was automatically rejected, with the system stating that a counter-notice case is already open and that no new filing can be submitted until the existing one is resolved. In effect, the case is locked in a state where it can’t move forward and can’t be refiled — with no timeline given for either outcome.
Why I’m posting this again
This isn’t my first post about this case. Earlier posts aged out of visibility and simply stopped getting engagement, the way most threads do after enough time passes — so bumping them wasn’t going to accomplish anything. I’m posting fresh because, genuinely, this is the only channel I have left. I’ve gone through standard support, the counter-notice agent directly, a BBB complaint, and a consumer complaint with the California Attorney General’s office. None of it has produced a human response.
I recognize this is a sensitive topic to raise publicly, and that’s not my intent here — I’m not trying to cast blame without basis or turn this into a pile-on. I’m trying to reach someone, anyone, with the actual authority to look at ticket #170888474 and act on it.
What I’m asking for
It’s simple: a human review of the case, confirmation of the claimant’s legal status if a lawsuit was in fact filed, and — if not — restoration of the asset and reversal of the account termination, exactly as the process is supposed to work. I’ll continue following up on this thread weekly until it’s resolved, rather than opening new threads, and I’ll give this post a reasonable window before escalating further.
I’m glad to provide full ticket history, correspondence, or any documentation to anyone from staff able to help move this forward.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read through this.
