When using Dragger QoL Improvements, holding "Alt" while dragging a part causes snapping issues.

This only occurs with the beta feature “Dragger QoL Improvements” enabled:

When dragging a part on certain corners or faces while holding left or right alt, problems occur with the snapping.

For example, if I have my move snapping set to 1, and I move the part to (1, 1, 1), it might instead move to (1, 1, 1.049)
This only happens for certain points on a part. When dragging from other points, it snaps regularly.

Expected behavior

Normally, no matter where you drag a part from, it should snap to the grid correctly.

  • Is this just a baseplate template with two parts for demonstration?
  • If not could you DM me the exact place file?
  • How did you enter the grid snap? Just typing in “4” and hitting enter?
  • Is it more common with Alt or have you only noticed it happening with Alt?
  • Why were you using Alt in this case, seeing as the parts don’t seem to be part of a model? Does it work even if the parts aren’t in a model?
  • Is your “Align Dragged Objects” setting on or off?

Sorry for the late reply.

  • This is not just a baseplate. However, this happens on all experiences I work on including an empty baseplate template.
  • In the model tab, I enter “4” into the move snap. When testing, hitting enter or only clicking off does not affect the result.
  • I’ve only noticed it happening when holding Alt.
  • This happens with parts inside a model and parts outside of a model. These parts were for demonstration purposes.
  • When testing with and without “Align Dragged Objects”, it doesn’t affect the result either.

Hi @WhimiCitrus - could you attach the place file please ? the easy explanation would be minor misalignment of the “other” part the dragged one is snapping to - wanted to rule that out first.

Thanks !
