So today I decided to mess around with models and grabbed a random one that I had made way long ago. The only problem is when I tried to reposition it, it went through the baseplate and wound up in the void and I figured out where it went after the skybox turned black when I pressed f and I checked properties and found it at nan, nan, nan.

Any clue why this happens? I can drag other objects, but not that old model I have lying around.
Is it a mesh? we actually need to see the model or something yk
Does it have very small Parts in it?
Seems similar to this post:
But that’s from last year.
If it has small Parts maybe resize them larger, then back to their same size and see if it still happens.
Yeah I probably should have done that at the start but here is a comparison of the size of the model to the 4x1x2 default roblox part, about at the same level.
Smallest parts I use are .466x.466x.466 cubes inside the model. I might want to say that the organization is a bit weird with the model being a union just inside a model so that it is easy to move between games. The reason it is a union is because at the time I didn’t read documentation and union was the only way I was able to figure out how to create a weld for a tool.
This issue also happens to me, but also with any part of any size, whether it is a model, union, mesh or anything. But it happens very rarely, so it isn’t that bad
Basically, i drag it, and rarely, it dissappears, in the properties it says that it’s at the correct position, and when i press F (to zoom in) I get into the void zone or floating point zone, where the sky is all black
It’s also happening to me, but only when it’s grouped as model. The contents inside don’t matter (mesh, part, etc). In the clip you can see that it sends me to the void when I drag it but not when it’s ungrouped. A thing to note is that the part I’m moving it on is a model within itself and the floor is a mesh with precise collision fidelity.

What happens when you resize the entire model (Ctrl or Shift + drag one resize handle) so that the thinnest dimension is 1 stud?
What happens if you just resize the part/model/mesh larger, then smaller again like I asked in my first post?
Does uninstalling and installing Studio help? The glitch might be in your computer’s version.
Today I reinstalled studio because I had neglected updating it so much and I forgot how to update it. Just right now I decided to play around with it a bit and found that simply recoloring it sometimes actually worked. I do not really know why, though. I am using just a bunch of recolored models of it that I have saved and found that about half of them don’t do that.
To anybody who sees this in the future I have decided to just stop trying to figure this out and go on with my business because there is really no reason I should keep looking into it when at most it provides a minor inconvenience and I have more pressing matters to tend to.
