People are straight up stealing other people ugc and reuploading it 1:1(their not remaking the model at ALL their straight up just loading into studio and stealing people models)
99% of the time they go into studio and use a plugin that inserts ugc from the catalog and literally export the file then import the file so they account have ownership of the model to be able to upload, only thing they change is literally the thumbnail why is roblox not taking this stuff down?! its literally a problem in the making UGC is turning into 2d clothing where anyone can just reupload your content!?!?!?! AND ITS ALWAYS A NEW ALT ACCOUNT, why are alt accounts that are newly created able to upload ugc!?
(ALSO THIS HAS NOT AFFECTED ME BY ANYWAY, NONE OF MY UGC WAS EVER STOLEN I JUST SO HAPPEN TO SEE SO MANY REUPLOADS BUT DIFFERENT OWNERS?!
pretty silly how they can get away with stuff like this, just found this group and everything in it is just reuploaded ugc with some being slightly different or just the exact same
The fact the group is literally called “Malevolent Creations” and the definition of malevolent is “having a wish to do evil to others” is lowkey hilarious.
Disregarding that, it is unfortunate that many creators are missing out on thousands of $$ worth of sales because other people steal their creations and the algorithm treats the stolen assets better than the original.
this group stole a UGC item from me, and when I filed a DMCA claim they filed a false counter notice. I then tried to get in contact so I could actually sue, and Roblox withheld the information I’d actually need
edit: forgot to mention that the stolen item has been recommended to me on multiple occasions. roblox is pushing out stolen UGC items
thats the issue with roblox , groups that are mass stealing get away with it because the system is so dog crap and roblox only cares when their stocks gets hurt , while exploitation of their creators is shoved under the rug and side by side favor groups that mass steal when those groups dont even hide the fact that all the meshes they have uploaded is all from different groups or clothing 2d assets , even if a group gets mass dmca by diff creators , still its up , im so done with their system its insane roblox deserves its downfall if it ever had one, oh dont even get me started over the counter dmca abuse
