So I have this old game called Ragdoll Climb where you climb onto a statue and ragdoll and turn to stone, you then climb on top and repeat. I had a version of it that wasnt very polished a year or so ago and it had high playtime length and 95% like rating. Well today I have a new version with the exact same logic , map , materials etc. The only thing that changed is better ui and a cleaner codebase, yet for some reason the playtime on this new version is very low and a like rating also low.
I havent found any bugs or anything but if someone could visit and see what the issue is.

Maybe your older version worked better, because the market was less saturated with climbing games, and now it is… Further technical polish will not matter in this case much.
Also, I noticed just from your game description that it is not that clear about the game, and the other comment confirmed it.
I wouldn’t exactly know how to stand out among 100 Roblox climbing games, for now.
Only if you find a unique, super clear idea that stands out when you market it with associated thumbnails, ads or influencers, and all other marketing material, then you can think about some better chances. Still, success is never guaranteed.
