Why is game's stuck at a 40% rating?

A while back, I made a really simple drawing game named Drawing World, not expecting it to do well; however it got picked up a bit by the algorithm and has just reached around 500k visits and is getting a few hundred players per day.

Despite this, I’m having a bit of trouble getting the rating up about roughly 40%. I’ve made some changes which raised the rating slightly, yet I’m still stuck on what users aren’t enjoying, as not many are giving feedback due to the young age of the game’s audience.

If you have some free time, please consider checking it out and giving your thoughts on the situation. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading!
Have a wonderful day

I’m guessing it’s due to these 3 things:

  1. Lack of colours. I think a lot of people may be dissapointed in drawing only black.
  2. People are likely expecting either a PvP minigame, or a plot based system (for example you draw on your own area and can show off you favourite drawing on billboards).
  3. Missing drawing tools. Especially since it’s the Roblox platform, it could help to give shape tools that draw basic shapes like circles and . Also a pen width setting is missing for what I could see.

However these probably don’t cause a lot of dislikes, but moreso stop people from liking the game, since it doesn’t catch people’s interest. I do imagine players move on to different drawing games that have more advanced tools and multiplayer minigames.

I don’t know about analytics themselves since I haven’t even released my first game, so can’t say what the tendency is for younger players when it comes to like to dislike ratios, and whether games can get dislike bombed for some odd meta reasons.

Competitors offer better gameplay quality. For example, Free Draw offers free layers and the ability to be more precise with line thickness (for free too) while you make people pay for it… You have to make your game better or different from competition
