Originally, you could apply the tags for your UGC item from the Roblox library directly in Roblox Studio. This made the process quick and painless, as you could get all your tags done while uploading your item.
Recently, Roblox changed this so that you now have to apply tags on the create.roblox.com page for your UGC item instead. This was already a frustrating change, because it meant you had to open a new tab for every single item you uploaded just to add tags. Still, it was manageable, since you could hover your mouse over the suggested tag as you typed, press Enter as soon as it auto-filled, and move on quickly.
Now, they’ve made yet another change: every time you type in a tag, you must move your mouse to click the suggestion (or press Enter after manually hovering over it) before it’s applied. While this might sound like a small change, it makes the process significantly slower when tagging multiple UGC items, especially considering one UGC item can have five tags, each tag requiring manual input to be selected.
Unfortunately, that’s not the only issue. The tag search feature itself is extremely buggy/laggy. If you make a typo when searching for a tag, backspace to fix it, and retype it correctly, the tag sometimes just won’t appear at all. When this happens, your only options are to refresh the page, losing all the tags you’ve already entered, or to click off and back on over and over again until it lets you put the tag(s) you want to put in.
