Why is my game failing?

Hello!

I’ve been working on this Underground Warfare style game for a while now. For the last week I have been running 5k/day vertical ads (roughly 1.3% CTR). It seems like I cannot get a positive like ratio, and I’m not sure why. When I am in game, people do seem to be enjoying it. I’m also really not making enough money to keep running ads… unless that’s just part of it. Could anyone give some insight?

Thanks!

  1. It is very polished, but it doesn’t seem to appeal directly to one style of gameplay. The simulator aspects makes me personally not want to play the combat, knowing that the skill is meaningless if people can so easily out buy me, or simply play longer.

  2. Also, I’d suggest getting more people to visit it at once, instead of a slow advertising campaign. This is a game that may hook people when they play for that session, but doesn’t have any like playing it more than once.

  3. Icon is well made like the rest of the game, but not exactly compelling. A solid focus on a character or two could really improve the appeal.

  1. I agree in a way, but I also disagree. I’ve played the game with the highest level tools, and I still don’t win every dual and every match due to the dynamic of sword fighting itself. And granted, with every single PVP game, the seasoned players with better weapons have a slight advantage.

  2. I’ve also tried that, but it may be worth trying it again. I usually lose a lot of money on it, and it doesn’t seem to do a lot of good. Granted, I’ve got a slightly better ad now, as mentioned above, so it might be worth giving it another go.

  3. I do agree in that regard, just haven’t really come up with a great idea for it.

  1. 1.3% CTR is above average, however advertisements obtain generally less clicks than sponsorships.

  2. You can ask friends and families to like it, and if the second week the ratio still goes back down, you can ask some questions to the community and ask for feedbacks.

  3. Nobody ever makes enough directly on the first weeks. If you’re out of budgets you can try contacting investors such as infinitecanva
