Why is my mesh see through? (not flipped normals)

Whenever I export my character to blender as an OBJ this is the result every single time and I’ve searched for hours with no result so as a last call I’m making a post.

It used to work but now it results in this scruffy, overlapping battle of textures.
I believe this is a fault in the textures as the model is perfectly fine in object view

why do so many people have this issue

Under the material tab, set the blend and shadow mode to opaque.
