Will my place lag if I made an entire city out of meshparts?

Let’s say I want to create a 4x4 km (16km²) 1:1 recreation of a part of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.
And I went to do that with the use of meshparts, as low-poly as possible and using PBR textures.
Would it cause any sort of lag, apart from downloading all the meshparts? (since the meshparts are not stored on your pc)
I’m not sure what to think about this.

Using mesh parts makes it less laggy. Since you only need to use “mesh-parts.” Depending on what kind of mesh you are building. If you were to use normal parts they have a higher chance of making you crash in studio or lag.

If your planning on adding textures to the meshes, than it may hurt performance. But, meshes aren’t laggy. I recommend using them vs. parts.

I agree with @Programmxr and @AdminTelamon, using mesh-parts has been way less laggy for me and other people, Most of the time I turn a whole bunch of laggy bricks into a union/mesh, and performance increases quite well.
