Basically, I want to make a dorm game. It won’t be role-playing. Basically, a player logs in and can create their own room. Then they invite their friends or other people to this room, and they essentially live in it together, sharing the room like a dorm. They have to earn money (they have a shared budget), and then use that money to order items, furniture, decorations, food, and so on, and then have fun. This room can then be saved; players leave the game, and later, if they come back, they can load it up and continue decorating it. That’s the basic idea for now. The question is, will this game violate Roblox’s TOS? I thought I might get banned for things like beds, so I started wondering if this game is even suitable for Roblox.
No bedrooms or bathrooms and it should be fine.
The room itself is supposed to be a bedroom. Okay, so we can’t put a bed in it. Can we put in sofas, armchairs, or sleeping bags? Anything we could theoretically sleep on?
The problem isn’t the bed itself, it’s that players can sleep on it and roleplay with it. For this reason, sleeping altogether would not work, not in a social game.
So, in theory, I can add single beds that won’t be possible to lie on?
you probably can, but you would have to add an invisible wall to prevent them from just jumping on it.
if sleeping is still something that you’d want in the game, then you could maybe separate beds into different rooms, and no more than 1 person can be in each bedroom, limiting roleplay in that area of the game.
I think I seen something from roblox that you can its just you would have to limit it to one player at a time, so if a player uses/go in that “zone” you have to limit it to just that player and prevent other players from interacting with it until that player leaves.
