Bump. Gotta have them speeds on LuaBridge
I know I am a little bit late. But what I found might be useful in certain cases. While sure, it is not a full-on fix for the problem. But setting Scale on BlockMesh or SpecialMesh (with primitive shapes) is twice as fast compared to setting the Size. This sadly cannot be used for anything besides the visuals, as you are not updating the collision shape but only the mesh size itself, but at least primitive meshes are able to support modern material systems.
I agree. The slowest thing in my situation is setting hundreds of partsâ size.
bump this would be crazy for voxel games with large operations
bump on this, trying to make a 3D particle system and scaling parts right now drags the performance down by allot
I may be wrong on this, but I donât think this would improve performance as much as BulkMoveTo does. As far as I know, the lag that comes from resizing parts doesnât come from events being fired, unlike moving parts which fires a ton of events. Itâs likely caused by something else, maybe on the physics side of things. Using the scale property in specialmeshes does reduce lag.
