Would a game about making fictional weapons be against ToS?

I’m planning on creating a game in which a player would be able to create fictional arms and munitions for a military defense contractor, including firearms, explosives/payloads, delivery mechanisms (missiles, rockets, etc), and other unconventional weapons (like laser guns) and test them out.

The process will be somewhat complex given that the game revolves around “research and development.” The construction of the weapon will be similar to Phantom Force’s attachment system, where you pick from an array of components to add to the prototype.

My concern is with this phrase in the Roblox Community Standards, which states:

We prohibit users from discussing, depicting, or promoting illegal and some regulated goods. You also may not encourage others to violate laws in the real world, or do so yourself. These goods and activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Bomb/explosive and weapon-making instructions or schematics in the real world

Defense contracting is a legitimate and profitable industry in real life. Given that all components and related assets are completely fictional and the methods are extremely oversimplified (requiring only the click of the button to add a component), would creating a game like this violate the code quoted above?

No, Here is why;
Back in the day when TOS was updated me and one of my old friend was working on a huge project and i made a Charger (Explosive) model and place it around a Bridge but we removed it due to Roblox’s miss explanation about rule, there is a lot of examples that developers use these kind of things like in SCP games that a team named C.I is usually place a Charger on the wall and breach it or in one of the most Popular game in the Roblox Jailbreak you Breach a wall etc.

After the TOS update lot of people was confused some people was thinking that
“Oh Roblox is now not allowing guns and explosions”
It turns out that its not the case if you keep it as “Fictional” as a Roblox game can be i think it will not break any rule in Roblox TOS.

If i understand it correctly that you are going to make some models (Weapons) and players can combine them to create their own models (Weapons) if you stick with what i’ve said you will be fine don’t forget the Age Recommendations.

I hope this helped you out. Stay safe :white_check_mark:
