I’m planning on creating a game in which a player would be able to create fictional arms and munitions for a military defense contractor, including firearms, explosives/payloads, delivery mechanisms (missiles, rockets, etc), and other unconventional weapons (like laser guns) and test them out.
The process will be somewhat complex given that the game revolves around “research and development.” The construction of the weapon will be similar to Phantom Force’s attachment system, where you pick from an array of components to add to the prototype.
My concern is with this phrase in the Roblox Community Standards, which states:
We prohibit users from discussing, depicting, or promoting illegal and some regulated goods. You also may not encourage others to violate laws in the real world, or do so yourself. These goods and activities include, but are not limited to:
- Bomb/explosive and weapon-making instructions or schematics in the real world
Defense contracting is a legitimate and profitable industry in real life. Given that all components and related assets are completely fictional and the methods are extremely oversimplified (requiring only the click of the button to add a component), would creating a game like this violate the code quoted above?
