Throwback to one of those “throw loader into ServerScriptService and enable the access of third party mods to moderate your game”, thinking about bringing this back if in favor.
This would allow the usage of banning/kicking users from your game for cheating/toxicity/chat bypass/violating set game rules.
Pros:
- Efficient Moderation → Utilizing a trained team of moderators, trained from the CEO of the group
- Offload Moderation → As the owner/developer of a game, you’ll offload the moderation responsbility to third-party services, allowing you to focus more on developing
- Discord Integration → Every action would be logged to Discord, ensuring nothing has failed/no one caused corrupt behavior
- Reduced Bias → Third-party services “may” help reduce potential bias in moderation actions as they aren’t directly involved within your game’s community PRO AND CON
Cons
- Third Party Dependency → Integrating could mean relying on their functionality. If any of their systems go down, it would be up to you
- Quality Assurance → May not work within your game’s community. As they’d be trained on basic ToS guidelines, each game has different rules, so it’d be hard to point out whether or not a justified action was correct, however the action would be logged.
