Would I get in trouble for things my developers do on my game?

Hi, I’m in the process of making a game, and I want to invite a developer over into team create, however, I am not sure about inviting the developer even though they have a portfolio, because I just have trust issues. What are the chances that he just puts the most vile things into my game and publishes it? It is under a group, and I am the owner of the group, would I get the punishment if the game were to receive any if he was to do that? Thanks!

Yes, you can get in trouble, and it’s actually really common

Yes, you might encounter warning / termination, which is why most major games have a group and an alternate account as the group holder to protect the main account from termination caused by other developer’s mistakes or intentional actions.

Thanks! How common is it? How would I tackle inviting devs over to work for my game then, aside from putting the group under an alt?

Alright, but I’m a little curious about if the actual developer who does the violation, would that specific dev be punished with the group holder? Because atm I’m assuming that only the group holder gets in trouble, no one else

The group holder is the one responsible for anything done in the place.

Also remember that Team Create autosaves and updates, so anything vile they do could get you banned.
Unless you actually know the developer it’s going to be a gamble on what they decide to put in your game.

Hey, yeah but I’m curious on if the person who does it will also receive punishment or not, I assume not, since it is the group holder that shoulders the punishment?

Nobody else but the group owner gets in trouble. Just work on your own place files and merge them together every so often without TC. TC is bad; it kills accounts, ruining people’s experiences. Avoid using it as much as possible on your main accounts.
