Would rebooting the entire game be a good idea?

Greetings! I am working on probably the best project ever, a remade, stepped up version of Bloxy Kart with currently has no release date as of yet. Since this new version of Bloxy Kart will feel like a totally new game, I am thinking if its ok for me to:

  1. Reset all data
  2. Reset versions back to v1.0, so I can advertise it as “new”.

The past of Bloxy Kart doesn’t look good at all. If I were to do these things, it would pretty much “delete” the past in my opinion, and perhaps I would run Bloxy Kart under a new name if needed.

I think it’s a bad idea. In my opinion Bloxy Kart doesn’t have a bad enough past to do that.
