So I made this game recently Revolution [Early-Alpha] - Roblox and I have some ideas on how to potentially gain some revenue, can you please comment on if you think they will work and why and if not why not.
Idea 1:
Have it so if a player is in a certain group they will receive a certain item, group owners can pay me x amount of robux for their group to be part of this. This idea will be implemented when I have a player base.
Idea 2:
Have a military group based around the game, in this military group people can participate in events and so on (similar to the line battles group), and revenue will be gained through donations, regiment buying (eg a player pays x amount of robux to have there own regiment) and potential clothes selling.
Idea 3:
Have it so you can pay to get a item early on pernamantly rather than have to get x amount of kills.
Idea 1:
It depends what items and perks group owners and group members get. Also, most groups normally make their own game, so this will only be suitable when/if the game gets big or else group owners will just see no point in this.
Idea 2:
Again, most groups own their own game, from experience normally groups would rather buy the game instead and if the game only got big (or) the game was very well built and scripted.
Idea 3:
I think this is the best option, making the user play, and if they enjoy it they can buy weapons earlier. It follows a common monetizing plan. the “whale monetization pattern”.
In my opinion, I think Idea 3 is the best profitable idea and quickest

When developing, it isn’t the best idea to do it with the mindset to “get a quick buck”. I can assure you, the makers of Jailbreak didn’t do it to get rich. They did it because they enjoyed building, and wanted to share that enjoyment with others.
Honestly, the best way to get robux/money is to enjoy what you do. Enjoy it, put time into it, and don’t rush things to just get a small bit of mula. People will see the value in a fun, well-planned game. Just make it how you would want to play it, not what you think would get you the most revenue - if it is fun to you, others will find it fun, and invest/support/donate it. Just my thoughts.
