Would trading work for a rng game?

Do y’all think trading would fit a rng game? It would add another thing to do.

No. Players would just trade down their op trash to friends and others, impacting retention

I’ argue the other way, I’d say it would create a trading community or a greater desire for players to achieve better stuff to flex in trades, simply being able to exchange items in games always makes players feel like they are “connnected” more and that their items actually have value because they are not limited to yourself.

I agree with you. I’m not sure what context the rng game is though, for a rpg it would definitely make sense but my assumption would be games like sol rng.

I think trading is important in a lot of games, it also adds a sense of economy, it really depends how you handle the system though.
