I have McAfee on my phone because my service provider provides it for free and it also does this when I try to access this website.

Watching what you download is going to be useless when you accidentally visit a website hosting a Java drive-by.

And what’s the absolute best tool for decreasing your chances of being infected? Adblock. Almost all of the infections people typically get are from bad ads in otherwise fine sites ad networks, using Adblock is almost a better security measure than anything else you can do.

Yes, using ad-block is important but my point is that you’re not restricted in how many layers of protection you apply. Just using adblock? Bad. Just using an anti-virus? Bad. Just using common sense? Bad. Using all three? Great. The more layers you use the less chance there is of you becoming infected.
This is off topic, but adblock was brought up.
Please don’t use adblock on youtube. You’re probably watching people who work on youtube, they provide entertainment to you, you can let them have some adsense money.
It would be like if players used some hack to get your premium features for free. Luckily Roblox developers don’t rely on ads, and luckily we can prevent people from exploiting premium features.
But youtubers can’t prevent people from using adblock as they watch their videos.
