I used to get like 5 of the group invites per day, Then I turned my messages only for followers for 1 day, Then turned it back on for everyone and the spam mail completely stopped. Dont know if it would work for other people.

You get more of these messages when you play whatever game is first on the games page.
For the not wanting to enter a code, a reCAPTCHA would solve that
I support this. Unsolicited PM bots are incredibly annoying.
