All these NAs… Does discourse support custom avatars? I don’t see the issue with this seeing as the current system is broken.
The current system isn’t broken, it just doesn’t work as intended. It updates just fine provided you log entirely out of ROBLOX and log in again, but it doesn’t work if you just log in and out of Discourse.
People change their avatar, discourse asks for it before it finishes loading, gets the n/a, caches it because it doesn’t know any better. The solution is to pre-render discourse’s icon when you change your character. For now you can log out and back in and it will re-fetch your avatar.

Yes, it does, but custom avatars aren’t supported by ROBLOX’s vision for these forums, so they disabled them.
What if we made discourse ignore fetching your avatar if the website returns NA. It would just use the current version in the cache. That might work. For now, relogging on discourse will fix your own broken avatar.

Yeah, it’s really starting to bug me because of how many users don’t seem to want to log out and back in.

Try logging in and out of both RBXDev and ROBLOX

I logged in from my iPad while still logged in on my pc and it seems I lost my avatar. I haven’t updated my character appearance in a while, so I’m not sure why it couldn’t get the image.
I posted on their bug forum. Let’s see what happens.

So I was abroad for research and logged in on my laptop, now my avatar is broke. What do I do to actually fix it? (already tried logging in/out on both devforum and roblox.com, already tried changing/redrawing my character)
