Three (Five-ish) Audio Features

Panning
Audio pan indicates how much a sound’s volume is heard from the left and right speakers in a stereo system. Not at all useful for audio in the Workspace, so it would be intended for global sounds.

  • Advanced HUDs (also game menus)
  • Artificial positioning for local sounds
  • Hearing aid

Bass and Treble
Bass and treble parent two frequency ranges, low and high respectively. If you reduce a sound’s treble it will sound very muffled, and if you reduce its bass it will sound like it’s being played from a handheld device.

  • Enhancing environmental sounds, exemplified above
  • Live processing versus pre-processing

Speed and Pitch
We already have the Pitch option, which also proportionately controls audio speed. I’d like to see them as seperate options.

EDIT: if possible, I could probably make use of reversible speed as well.

This used to be a thing, until somebody decided to upload a ‘smoke weed everyday’ audio in reverse, and play it in reverse. Stupid people is why we can’t have nice things.
