ive been working on a game with quite a bit of animations and today i decided to upload the game to my group and the animations suddenly stopped working. do i have to go through every single one of them and upload them to my group or is there an easier way to fix it?
Sadly, yes. (To my amateur knowledge)
As of now, animations are not a transferrable or shareable item such like sounds or models, and have to be created and owned by the individual or group in which the place using it is also owned by. This is why if you have ever toolboxed an item that requires animations, a dummy with the animations in it are usually attached so that you can upload them to your own account and utilize them.
Sorry to hear that this is your circumstance, see if you can import them all into a dummy, and start republishing them to the group.
yeah im definetly not doing that
Just download your animations from the roblox site, import them to roblox studio then bulk upload.
sounds good, how do i download tho?
Oh wow, good to know this, I retract my statement.
You’re still going to have to open every single one on the website, and the … should open up to a place where you can download it. Still tedious but, way less than what I said.
am i looking in the right place? cant seem to find it
You need to use an extension. You can use BTRoblox.
re-uploading them is the only way to do it
seems to be working. ill try reuploading them all later. thanks!
how do i bulk upload animations though?
it doesnt look like the bulk import function works with animations
Select all the animations then upload to roblox.
