we have a default baseplate with shadowmap lighting and streamingenabled with no scripts or localscripts just a plain baseplate

the max amount of players is 100 i believe
1 game can hold up to 700 people
Iirc 700 because that was the player limit of an official roblox game at one point
The maximum number of players that Roblox can handle before it starts to lag or experience other performance issues will depend on a variety of factors, such as the complexity of the game’s graphics, the amount of physics calculations that need to be performed, the amount of data being transmitted between the client and server, and the specifications of the computer running the game.
In general, simpler games with fewer players will be able to handle more players without performance issues, while more complex games with lots of physics calculations, graphics, or data transmission may struggle with even a small number of players.
Roblox does provide guidelines for developers to optimize their games for performance and reduce lag, such as using efficient scripting techniques, minimizing the number of parts and scripts in a game, and using physics optimization tools. It’s important for game developers to carefully consider these guidelines and optimize their games as much as possible to ensure the best possible experience for players, regardless of the number of players in the game.
literally all of you bozos just told me the limit
and one literally just used chatgtp
SOMEONE GIVE ME A PROPER ANSWER
Over 100 players are suitable for your game. If they use R15, however, it might be a little less performant on the server side.
I’ve heard people say 400 players are when you really see the difference.
Another game has a limit of 123456789 players. I’m not joking.
Can you send a link? I wanna see now lol
anything over 100 will crash server
There is a game by @Soggoth called “New Gear Test” which can hold up to 123,456,789 players, so that’s the limit

Thanks! I’m pretty sure the game couldn’t get to that many players in one server, though… XD
