Best Way to Script a Realistic Fire Hose

I am unsure if this is the correct category. Please let me know if it isn’t.

Hello there! I have been trying to figure out how to create a realistic fire hose, and what I mean by this really a realistic hose drag trail. Pretty much similar to what ER:LC does with their hoses.

I have tried looking on the Developer Forum to figure out how I could create this and I haven’t found any direct forums along with YouTube Tutorials. I tried to script this but I couldn’t get it to work.

If anyone can supply me with tips or a process on how I could create this, that would be very much appreciated.

A system a friend of mine utilized in the past uses Pathfinding* Service. Essentially, the start point was the fire engine or hydrant, and the end point was the players tool obj within the Character. It updated using RenderStepped.

You can start there. I personally do not have the code; however, I do hope this will expand the thought process.

Another workaround I would try, would be creating a hose as a rigged mesh with bones, in that way would look very realistic on its shape, and its like a “worm” all its bones can be repositioned and the mesh will bend and rotate, being possible to anchor the bones to the ground or any shape needed when dragged. I would just try it Im not saying that would be easy or work as expected, I never tried that.

Hm, this seems like an interesting prospect. Can you try to supply like a video?
