Network ownership of custom ball is wonky

In studio… my custom ball character system works perfectly, there are no network ownership issues.

But ingame… its incredibly buggy. I have to manually set the ownership of the character to the player, and unequipping tools causes it to be set to the server.

I’ve tried to set it back every time the tool is unequipped, but this doesn’t work at all.

The tool is welded to the Orb, I tried deleting the weld when the tools unequipped and making a new one, it doesn’t work.

What do I do…

I fixed the issue by giving the character a “HumanoidRootPart”
