Hello. Im just curious about the topic. If you go ahead and play phantom forces and walk with a gun, the gun has some sort of sin wave(-1 and 1) the plays in a qaudratic type shape.
But is this really how that weapon movement sway was made? If someone could give me some insight on the math behind that little walk movement sway I would be grateful.
Looks like the gun is just attached to the hands and is moving that way due to the walking animation.
As in the front is attached to the left hand and the back is attached to the right hand with swivels.
They use viewmodels and there is no animations that are ran in phantom forces. Everything is cframed. The weapon is put in a set of hands and the entire model of hands inluding the weapon are moved for effects like such. Im really just trying to find what math they are using in their cframing
[My previous answer was incorrect, its really just a figure eight, which can still be made with sin and cos. If I remember correctly it would be (cos t, sin 2t) ]
