Why does this happen with constraints and Moving Parts?

Hey everybody

recently I wanted to make a “wrecking ball” sort of thing where there was a moving part connected to a sphere with a rod constraint. In run mode, everything works great. When in Run or Play mode, this happens:

note that the sphere is unanchored, and the moving part is.
when in run or play mode, the ball acts as if it’s anchored, but the part and rope still move.

anyone know anything about this?
