I was looking at my game performance, and I see this:
There is 5.0 GB of Untracked Memory! How do I fix this? Is it a virus possibly?
I was looking at my game performance, and I see this:
What scripts do you have included in your game?
Hundreds, it would be very difficult to show you all of them.
Do any of them have a “while true” loop?
Unfortunately, I do have a few. Not a massive amount though. What made me suspicious, is that I didnt have any of that a few days ago. I hadnt changed much though. That is what made me think of a virus.
there’s a plugin called Server Defender that helps you detect viruses
Can you link it? I would love to run it!
Have you added free models or installed any plugins in the last few days? Those may have scripts that get loaded into your game.
You could just disable your more complex scripts and see if that makes a difference. If it does you can start narrowing down which script by enabling the scripts one at a time.
Yeah , I haven’t not that I can think of… However, I just installed the server defender plugin, ran it, and it deleted one virus, so lets see if it works
Still has 8GB, but I think I just need to work on script optimization. Thanks to everyone and especially @Find4U2Go!
I got a tip, disable all of your scripts, then re-enable them one by one and record the memory changes
