What’s your question soldier?
I’m trying to make a custom PlayerList for my experience, and I remembered that there’s a new feature on ROBLOX that allows you to give friends neat lil’ nicknames, which then replaces their Display Name for you on the default PlayerList. Which begs the question, how did they do this? Is this something we can do or is it currently ROBLOX only?
note: i searched for this question and all i got was DisplayName…
As far as I know, you cannot access what someone has put as a nickname for their friends. Your best bet is to try and access it directly from the normal PlayerList and go from there.
Right now i’ll be probably be saying stuff that i don’t know much
but if the nickname you put on your friends replaces for that player their display
then you could probably get the displayName a player is seeing of another person doing it locally. don’t know if that makes much sense and didnt check it, gl!
I kind of get what you’re saying, in a way DisplayName could just be entirely replaced by the Nickname.

i think i found a solution… probably…
ask the server for the player’s display name
ask the client for the player’s display name
