Is it okay to make a gambling game on roblox if it uses currencies that CANT be purchased for robux?

Also what category should this be in

This should probably be in development discussion.

I think no you can’t encourage gambling on Roblox. Certain randomised reward mechanics are allowed but the probabilities must be clearly stated.
Check the guidelines on the website as there is a specific section covering this.

I found this in Community Standards.
“Except where prohibited by local law or regulation, we allow the portrayal of gambling in experiences. However, no real money, Robux, or in-experience items of value may be exchanged in connection with any gambling activities. We also require that the odds of winning be fair and clearly disclosed to the user prior to playing.” Link

I can list a few examples of popular games that have gotten away with this:

  • blade ball (wheel spin, bought with coins + robux) (also halloween spins, robux or pumpkins)
  • blox fruits (scrolls, can be bought with robux)
  • the strongest battlegrounds (emotes, can be bought with robux or obtained with kills)
  • etc…

While these games have not been taken down, it is important to consider that gambling should not be actively promoted. None of these games force you to gamble, or even promote it. It’s just an option that you can choose if you want.
