Able to quote people and change what they say

I am able to “change what people say” by editing a quote from a message.

  • Detailed description of bug;

With this bug, it is possible to spread false information about what people said all from a simple oversight in the quoting system.

  • When it started happening;

I was messing around with quotes and I noticed I could edit the quote even if it wasn’t directly stated.

  • Steps to reproduce the issue (be minimal, specific, consistent!)
  1. Quote someone
  2. Edit the text in the quote
  3. Save the reply

Hi there, this is not a bug as we do not specifically prohibit modification of quote content. Closing as duplicate of Quotes should not be able to be modified, or modifications should at least be marked.
