Pretty straightforward. We have the option to set which title appears on our posts, but no option for setting the flair. I want to be able to hide my flair like I can hide my title.
I found that I’m less inclined to make posts when I know that there will be a flair attached to them. As much as possible, I like for the content of a post to speak for itself.
That’d be a nice addition! However, from what I’ve heard it doesn’t appear there’s currently a way to control the flair. This might be something to bring up on Discourse’s meta forum, but I could be wrong there.
I would recommend filing a feature request on the Discourse Meta for it. It’s actually based on primary group, so the feature request would be for users to have a way to set/unset/change their primary group.
