The stock market just opened and Roblox has suffered another drop due to this update.
As I’ve said many times a far better and more acceptable solution would be separate people in under 13 (or under whatever the legal age requirement is to use social media in a given country) and over 13s (who can freely use social media) and allow those over 13 to freely chat, instead increasing the reliability of their AI systems and monitoring social trends on their platform (or even simply asking trusted community members to inform them what they need to train their AI to detect), and those under 13 to use either safe chat or be blocked from chat.
This will solve the legal requirements imposed on Roblox by governments while also preserving the ability for chat to be used by those who can legally use it. This post has gathered over 31 thousand views and 54 likes on the original post (an incredible 0.45% approval rating compared to the 12 thousand likes given across the entire thread). Over 600 users have voiced concerns, many whom rely on the chat in their experiences. Roblox needs to wake up and see that this is having an extreme effect on their platform, communities and even their investors.

I have been on here for more than 10 years, and its just been bad decision after bad decision. I keep hoping something will change in how the company is being led, but it just seems to get worse. I feel like someone will come up with a gaming company that will fill the void that Roblox is creating. I look forward to that time.

This update is obviously not a negative for the majority of players
Out of all the concerns people have with this, data and privacy really are not one of them anymore now that data is deleted immediately afterwards. If you don’t trust them feel free to have your government investigate I guess..? nothing they say will be enough

Correct me if I’m wrong but the entire name for the section you’re referring to is “Recommended For You”. I personally agree that if IDs are imposed then recommendations should be adjusted per age group to ensure they are safe.
Also why not demand developers to go through with the ID check if they’re going to have to use it to make their games in team create. The responses you gave from Schlep and Ruben (and please also link them as I want to see what they’re referring to) seem to be made as a form of “extra” step because of this update.
It unfortunately doesn’t tackle the fact that this update is far too restrictive and will kill social interactions within games. I also recall you saying yesterday that you won’t be commenting here because of how laggy the thread is, yet you have returned after roughly 400 additional messages have been sent.

2 days later and people are still pointing out issues with this. Top devs have voiced their concerns with a few even saying that this will kill their games. How much more does it take before Someone at Roblox realizes how bad this change will be.
