if you maybe get rid of the studio restrictions, maybe ill.. kind of live with it… because i already half abandoned roblox chat anyway, using it with all the false filtering is extremely aggravating… just remove the chat only from the studio.. we all talk on discord anyway, why do we have to be banned from building together?

Kind of weird how they do this PR stunt to say they’re making the platform more “safe” for children and then their own CEO goes out says he wants to introduce gambling to children in an “educational” way. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the CEO and shows the true intention of these “solutions”.
I genuinely am disgusted at how the CEO manages his own company and I’d be genuinely surprised if the stocks didn’t plummet on Monday again over this.
If they seriously wanted to consider child safety they’d actually improve their AI “tools” and hire more physical moderators in the English language (and not Indian cheap moderators who mainly speak Hindi). These restrictions are poor and show that they’re being catered towards a PR stunt rather than an actual response.
Roblox is “Reimagining the way people come together.” by segregating people and apparently now promoting gambling to minors (and no, this little diversion trick won’t work on us. We’ll still complain about this update and not your gambling one nice try, David.).

If you’ve been following along this thread since it was posted, you can clearly see that everyone has been persisting in complaining here and they’ve already doubled down a grand total of TWO TIMES and has clearly demonstrated they don’t care what the userbase thinks about this update.

I don’t think this is properly implemented yet.
My settings do not prevent my browser from using the camera and I did tell my browser to let it use my camera “once.” Yet, all I get is this:
You would think it would be able to tell that this isn’t going well and suggest what to do.

Why not instead just make so that a community can speak together in their own experiences and studio games without the age group segregation (you could even make it so that you must have invites on on said community for this feature to work). This would fix both the roleplay game issue (as they would now only need people to be vetted into the group by the group owner/moderators) and also fix the collaboration function for students/teachers without risking a child adding a predator as a trusted connection, negating the effects of this update.
If you want you could add to your TOS that if such a setting was enabled then community moderators are responsible for removing bad actors from their communities. Having this enabled for communities directly makes it so much easier for the aforementioned groups and means that basic functionality communities that rely on chat is retained (you could even give community moderators, with group invite perms, the ability to see what age group a user is in, so that they can filter people).

If it weren’t for the team create restrictions, I’d stick around and at least still build things with friends on here sometimes. I won’t even be able to do that anymore with this update. This is going to be horrible.

It took me 15 seconds to find an article saying that Persona’s system was tricked by a Death Stranding (video game) character. Yes, they’re from July, but I highly doubt that the AI has gotten significantly better since then. Any testing done in an environment where only real life people’s face’s were used will of course yield better results than additionally using 3D Models. How can we truly be assured that this system can’t be tricked be these models?
Also, with no offence to Persona directly, awards can be bought rather easily and hold no true meaning as to the quality of service provided. Seeing articles like the ones below does not fill me with hope that Persona is as good as it claims to be.

It affects me personally, since I am currently remaking an old game with my friend. The entire theme of it is roleplay.
This puts a nail in the coffin, and kills it off once and for all. It’s infuriating.

Since that guy said in the forums he was bypassing ToS to code custom chat, I guess that means we can talk about bypassing ToS here

I’ve posted on the other forum thread, but I seriously don’t see any universe where this goes well. I would be the first to hop on the train of going back to a life before AI. Remember when your parents would send you to the park and do whatever from noon until 9 pm on weekends? How far we’ve come.
From someone who’s in law school, there is absolutely no reason to trust this third-party company that has no reason to reassure me it is a reputable way of measuring my age. I find it unbelievable that there is not more outrage from this dystopian feature — not only does it compromise my biometric data, but it also limits communication significantly.
As a side note, I know it’s easy to blame Baszucki for all this, but there’s many other execs such as Kaufman that are probably * more * the reason for this change. The corporate world is much more complex than “CEO makes every decision”. You’re gonna have pedophiles no matter what you do (I think this change only enables them) and I think the actions in the past months, aside from this devastating change & closing unrated games, have been more or less satisfactory.

I agree that it’s not preferable, but what alternative do you suggest? The fact is, there are currently multiple lawsuits against Roblox regarding child safety. On top of this, for the past few months the Roblox community has been putting a lot of pressure on Roblox to improve the safety on its platform. So Roblox had to do something, and this is their solution.
You can argue they should just hire more moderators, but Roblox already operates at a loss. They cannot afford to hire enough moderators to make a meaningful difference.
So, again, if you have a better idea please share it.

I made an experience which has the timers of when these changes go live. And when the each timer go off, the background changes a little bit.
